Updated 18 September 2026. KamSophy provides book summaries and learning tools in English and Khmer.
We use it to provide accounts and paid access, save your learning progress, personalize recommendations, review payments, respond to support requests and prevent abuse. Email reminders require an enabled email service and your reminder settings. We do not sell personal information.
Account and activity records are stored on the service's backend. Media is stored using Cloudflare R2 and server storage. The website uses Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to serve fonts. Your bank handles KHQR transfers, and Apple handles purchases made through Apple.
Operational backup copies may be stored on the operator's computer. Browser storage keeps session identifiers, preferences and cached public content on your device. Sign out when using a shared device.
We use first-party website measurements to understand page visits and improve loading speed. These include page types, referring website domains, device categories, load and interaction timings, API request durations and error counts. A random identifier in tab session storage groups activity and renews after 30 minutes of inactivity. These measurements are not linked to your account and do not contain IP addresses, full URLs, query strings, message text or error details. Raw measurements are removed after 30 days by a daily cleanup. Browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables this optional website tracking.
When enabled, KamSophy uses Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure website visits, registrations, checkout starts and confirmed purchases. Meta may receive browser and click identifiers, IP address, user agent, hashed account identifiers and hashed email, plus the package purchased, its amount and currency. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We do not send book reading history, support messages, receipt images, passwords or recovery links. These tools help measure advertising and improve its relevance. Browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables this optional tracking on our website. Native app activity is not included in this integration. See Meta’s Privacy Policy. Matching context is kept for up to seven days and delivery records for up to 30 days.
When first-party acquisition analytics is enabled, we count video milestones, sample openings, selected offers and payment workflow events. Browser Do Not Track disables optional browser events. A completed purchase is counted only after server approval. These events do not contain reset links, passwords, chat messages or receipt images.
When learning-time tracking is enabled, we collect short observations of active reading and audio playback, content identifiers, language, platform and timestamps. Recent interaction helps distinguish reading from idle time; we do not record the text of your keystrokes. Overlapping activity counts once, using Cambodia calendar days. These estimates describe engagement, not comprehension. Detailed intervals are retained for 90 days; daily summaries remain until account deletion. Recent activity may be kept on your device while waiting to sync.
Accounts are automatically included in the leaderboard by default. The leaderboard shows your display name, generated handle, profile photo and eligible learning-reward score; your email, saved items, learning sessions and payment information stay private. You can leave the leaderboard at any time in its participation settings. Your public profile remains private unless you publish it. Shared XP, streak and completed-book counts are separately selectable. Turning off public profile sharing removes service access to that page; copies made by others may remain.
Password recovery may use Resend to deliver a short-lived reset link and a security notification. Recovery messages awaiting delivery are encrypted and removed after delivery or expiry. Coin transaction records, when coin purchases are enabled, support balance reconciliation and individual-book access.
You can change your profile and reminder settings, export account data, and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes associated account, reading, payment and conversation records from the active service. Deletion is not an immediate purge of every backup or orphaned media file; contact support with questions about remaining copies. Banks and Apple manage their own records.
