The Art of Seduction — Book Summary
សង្ខេបសៀវភៅ «សិល្បៈនៃការទាក់ទាញ»
What is The Art of Seduction about?
Robert Greene examines how fascination is created in romance, social life, and mass persuasion. He organizes historical and literary cases into nine seductive character types and a four-phase process, then extends the argument to theatrical settings and indirect public selling. The examples include deception and coercion, so this guide explains the claims critically rather than presenting them as relationship advice.

Influence Through Imagination
Greene calls seduction a form of power that works through another person's imagination rather than a direct order. He argues that people often long for a break from routine and may follow someone who seems to offer it. Cleopatra's theatrical arrival before Caesar introduces a recurring pattern: an encounter becomes memorable because its presentation changes how the other person feels.
Stories Are Interpretations
The book draws stories from courts, fiction, celebrities, and politics. These sources show how Greene reads a scene, but they rarely tell us what everyone involved felt or chose. The reader should keep the difference between a reported event, Greene's explanation, and a reliable general rule in view throughout the book.
